New Nordplus grants (28 000 Euro) for the project Nordic childhood(s) in Transformation – Methodology for New Knowledge and Understandings.

Master students are invited to take a 3 ect methodology course that connects to a research conference on Childhoods and Materiality held in Finland 7-8 of Mai, 2018. Senior researchers from different fields and institutions in the Nordic countries cooperate with master’s students on developing interdisciplinary understandings of the new Nordic childhood(s). The project of developing the methodology course originated from the BIN- Norden network. This is the third time the network is rewarded Nordplus grants. In 2015 the course was developed, in 2016 it was piloted connected to the conference Fears and Pleasures in Nordic Childhoods in Oslo in November, 2016.

Nordic partners are: Western Norway University of Applied Science (host institution), Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, University of Eastern Finland (new partner), University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University and University College, Copenhagen & North Zealand (new partner).
